Chapter 2.1

Hello! And welcome back to my Board Game challenge! We start things off with an almost dead Austin for some reason.

No idea what happened. I just loaded up and he’s blue.

He’s probably butt-hurt because he’s not heir.

That’s right! Our boy Dean is heir! And it was a landslide too!

We have $4,658 on hand at the moment. And one of the goals for Dean’s generation is to have triple that amount before his kids take over. (because this generation’s theme is Scrabble and this is our version of a triple word score!)

So before gen 3 takes over, we need to have $13,974 on hand.

Seems deceptively easy…

We also need to move for this generation. And since this generations theme color is light blue, we’re moving into a blue suburban in San Sequoia!

…Also, we’re already at our triple word score…

But it’s not a very nicely decorated house. I wanted to be able to be able to afford it right away lol

Also, since I took the time to decorate after moving in, we’re now back down to $4,450 simoleons. So we definitely have some work to do to hit our triple word score now! Just the way I like it!

Back to gameplay, we have a bit of a problem… We have too many dogs.

I know, I know, you can’t have too many dogs! But in the confines of the Sims… We just don’t have room for them and gen 3.

But also Asparagus and Prosciutto are almost elders, and I would like to move Austin out with Chive when he ages up on Saturday. And Kiyoshi and Gert are going to die soon as well…

I will be keeping Ranch as long as I want though, because I love that dog and this is a Ranch let’s play now.

My heartfire is telling me to up the household size for a sec and just play on. Since this is the only chapter where it’s going to be an issue lol

So I invited Luna over since we decided to up the household size and this is when I discovered that our lovely new neighborhood has the “We Wear Bags” NAP lol

Well we got rid of the Bag NAP and we aged Luna up right away!

Which means we can now woo her with out it being weird!

With an infant and another baby on the way, we had Gert retire from her job. Kiyoshi was watching the kids while everyone was at work. And now that he’s gone… We needed someone else to fill that role and Gert was happy to sign up!

Hello hello! We’re back with the Hawthorne’s where we find the boys hanging out and dancing together (and don’t forget Prosciutto!)

We decided to go to the after party and it’s freaking me out the way they all turned to admire Dean

Austin, on the other hand, did not have a nice Cuddle Carts ride…

4am rolls around and the human sims are sleeping and the doggo sims are not.

I’ll give you one guess as to which pupper is Ranch lol

Chapter 1.7

Well hello there! We’re back with a new chapter of my Board Game challenge! We start things off with Kiyoshi doing laps. Yes, it maybe spring, but it’s still cold out and you could DIE Kiyoshi! Also, don’t overexert yourself and die that way either!

Starting things off right with a potential death…

Kiyoshi earned the Active trait! Woohoo!

I’m a little surprised that he didn’t have it in the first place

Awe! look at Prosciutto and Chive playing with each other! So cute!

And the first family dynamic in this house is Strict! Didn’t see that one coming!

Headed out to the mountain to work on some climbing before the week starts.

Dean and Austin had to do their homework though

Meanwhile Ranch is living his best life rolling in a puddle lol

So Mountain Excursions are broke. I get to the second rock wall, but the game will not move past it. So we just sit here for hours.

And after some digging, I’ve learned that this is a bug (because of course) with the latest patch. Weird. But Carl’s Guides has a bug fix mod for it, so I had to close my game and add that so that we can try again tomorrow

Austin said “no” to the jokesters dynamics that most of my other sims have been getting lol

He now has a strict and difficult dynamic with his parents lol

Oh noooooo, Dean is afraid of swimming! I don’t think I’ve gotten this one before. At least not that I can remember

Apparently I have had it before because Austin also is afraid of swimming.

4am Sunday rolls around again and everyone (except Prosciutto) is sleeping. And Ranch is, ONCE AGAIN, filthy. That dog, I swear, needs a bath everyday.

Chapter 1.5

Well hello hello friends! We’re back with another chapter of my Board Game challenge!

It’s 4am and the first thing we do is disable social bunny for Gert and Kiyoshi because ain’t nobody got time for social media

Not unless your a teen and you’re trying to make friends

I gave Kiyoshi and Gert’s bedroom a little makeover. This is all I did. There’s nothing else in the room because I ran out of money. But I’m really liking this!

Someone had a birthday at 4am on a Sunday. His age bar was bubbling and everything

Jeez. Good thing I check birthdays at the beginning of everything lol

And here he is after his makeover! He’s a cutie!

His bedroom makeover is a bit bare since I ran out of money.

Kinda regretting the remodel of Gert and Kiyoshi’s bedroom now lol

The next day, while the rest of the family was at work or school, Kiyoshi headed to the Mountain again to continue working on his aspiration

I did a thing.

Hello! And welcome back to my Board Game challenge! Not much is happening at the moment besides Gert making faces. So say Hi to Gert everyone!

So I sold the next day’s haul and then deleted the whole garden. Yikes

So I made him a pool. This house needed a pool for sure lol

Chapter 1.3

Hello everyone! And welcome BACK to my board game challenge!

Gert starts us off with a potty training session with Dean.

And also, I have no idea why Gert is obsessed with her outerwear.

Weirdo.

We got her changed in real clothes and got her back to painting for her work.

Our neighborhood currently has a green eco footprint which gives us an interaction to “bask in the light rays”. I thought that was pretty cool.

I recognize that neighborhood!

I sometimes forget that Gert is an eccentric sim. Her random faces and talks with “friends” are hilarious lol

We finally have enough money in our savings to afford our bills and another kiddo! So here we go!

And it’s a success!! Nooboo incoming!

It’s baby time!

I have become obsessed with keeping track of the ghosts at the hospital during this achievement challenge.

For example: In the latest Name Game chapter, Our nurse was alive but here he’s dead. Our receptionist was a ghost, but here it’s someone different and he’s an elder. And our doctor was a female ghost, but here we have a elder male.

And I guarantee that in the next My Sims challenge update, all three will be different again lol

It’s Springfest! So we have the creepy flower bunny roaming the house.

Austin aged up! Now Momma and Daddy can sleep peacefully during the night.

And then right after that, Kiyoshi spins into adulthood while tending the garden.

With a new toddler, we needed another bedroom and bathroom. But we ran out of money before we could finish……. So the boys will have to share for a couple days.

8am Sunday comes around and Gert and Kiyoshi are having breakfast, Dean is playing with some toys, and Austin takes the opportunity to sleep in Dean’s bed.

Chapter 1.2

Hello everyone! Welcome back to my board game challenge! We start out Gert’s rotation with her hanging out at a park. This is the only downside to rotation play, sometimes your sims aren’t where you left them lol

So we headed back home and tended the garden for a bit.

And then we did some painting. We need to be able to afford our honeymoon!

Because we’ve officially married Kiyoshi!

After he moved in, we gave him his makeover. Since all the boy pegs in Life are blue, he gets ALL the blue clothes!

And as per the rules, we went on our honeymoon! We rented a lot in Sulani and started to enjoy our days off.

Just look at how cute they are!

Midnight skinny dipping! Honeymoon shenanigans!

And we made sure to make use of ALL our time together… lol

And we’re expecting! Bring on the babies!

We also spent some time snorkeling. There’s not much to do while on vacation…

And Kiyoshi did some scuba diving as well.

I’m already over the honeymoon lol

I love Sulani though! I mean, how beautiful is this?!

I got a notice that the power company shut off our power while we were on our honeymoon. So we spent a good whole day beachcombing so that we can afford our bills when we do get home… we’re about $1800 short…

Plus we now also need $1000 for our baby… So onward to the treasures!

Honeymoon ended so we got home and payed our bills right away. Beachcombing ended up bringing in lots of money for us!

Also, we found this little guy while on vacation and I just had to keep it lol

House update! finally have a real bedroom!

Gert comes home from work early because it’s baby time!

So we headed off to the hospital!

But I guess leaving work early wasn’t so bad, since she still ended up getting a promotion! Sweet!

Kiyoshi was nominated! lol doubt we’ll win anything though

Awe GUYS! Dean aged up! He’s so freaking cute!

And if you’re observant, you noticed in the last photo that we added floor and wall coverings to the house!

Also we added a room for Dean.

And then 8am Sunday comes back around and we find Dean playing by himself while mommy and daddy are sleeping in.

Chapter 1.1

Oh hello! Here we are starting our next challenge, the Board Game challenge! If you’re unfamiliar with the board game challenge, its and 8 generation challenge following the order and colors of the monopoly board. Generation 1 starts on Mediterranean and Baltic Avenue and goes all the way around the board until Park Place and Boardwalk in Generation 8.

Now, generation 1 in this challenge is the Game of Life (fitting). And here’s our founder, Gert Hawthorne! If you read my Wilde ISBI, you’ll recognize her as one of the spare’s kids! Her name was originally Wilde, but I had to change it for obvious reasons lol Generation 1’s color is purple, but I just couldn’t do the game of life without dressing my sims like the little people in the game! So all the girls will be wearing pink and all the boys will be wearing blue!

As the rules state we start with a typical legacy start. So we headed off to a 50×50 lot and dropped the funds to 0 (usually 1800, but meh. Why not start with 0?)

Because we are going to need a lot of money in this generation, we wasted no time in getting her into a career. She was allowed to choose from entertainer, athlete, detective, doctor, business, & artist. We chose artist because it goes hand in hand with one of the easiest ways to earn money: Painting!

We’ll also need a spouse. And wouldn’t you know, just like in my Legendary Legacy, Darrel Charm walked past us. Unfortunately, he is now married.

While we waited for a potential spouse to walk by, we did some collecting!

While we were collecting, Kiyoshi walked past! I almost let him go because I was sure he was already married, but I checked just to be sure. AND HE’S NOT! MISSION IS A GO, GERT!

They’re so cute!

And so into each other!

And we’re about 5 hours into the challenge and we already have a boyfriend. Gert knows how to get things done!

We headed to a cafe in Windenberg for some food (plus I knew there was an easel around here so that we can paint) and Judith Ward stopped by!

We got a llama out of this as inspiration. #simslogic

Back home, we ended up with enough money to buy the cheapest, most uncomfortable bed, a cooler, a sink, and a pee bush.

Gert is off to her first day of work! Maybe she’ll meet Clara (from my name game challenge) at work since they’re both in the painting career!

Also, I see she took an umbrella from my Wilde save. I never give them umbrellas, so this was a surprise for me lol

Monday evening came around and it started SNOWING. It’s fall. And we’re in Oasis Springs. It’s not supposed to snow!

At least there are leaf piles around to play in lol

We got a garden started. Not sure how long we’ll keep it, but it’s there

The next day, Kiyoshi invited us over to his house! So we headed off to Mt. Komorebi!

And of course we made use of our time filling our fun bar lol

Geez aren’t they the cutest though?! I can’t wait until we have enough money to marry him and move him in

Wednesday came round and Gert got a promotion!

And it was the lottery today! So we entered that.

hmmmm. I wonder what happens if one of my other households wins this while I’m not playing them…

We managed to save enough money for all the starting essentials! Woohoo!

We’re so close to marrying Kiyoshi!

Kiyoshi brought us a gift! (which is always an excuse just to hang out at our place, but he already has keys to our place so he doesn’t need an excuse lol)

Oh damn! That’s quite the gift! Thanks for the extra 400 simoleons!

Which comes just in time. Because lawn living in a thunderstorm is a TERRIBLE idea

So we built a little house to keep our stuff safe.

it left us with $60, but we’ll get there.

We also had to sell our outdoor trash can…

Happy Harvestfest people!

Well, we didn’t win. But neither did any of my other families!

Kiyoshi stopped by for a little bit to keep us company!

And we eventually popped the question!

And he said yes!

We won’t be getting married in this chapter since it’s already thursday night, but at least we’re ready for it at the beginning of next chapter!

Harvestfest is over, so we’re selling the gnomes and planting the seeds lol

We needed some fun in our lives, so we bought a TV and stack of books. That way we can keep painting lol

Which reminds me, we expanded the house

Now we have a legit bathroom lol

All day Saturday was spent painting. Skill building and funds building lol

Is this new? I’ve never seen this before. I thought it was part of lifestyles for a minute, but the only one that Gert has in progress is close-knit. So I dunno where this comes from, but I like it lol

Our eco footprint is green! Wow, this has never happened to me without trying lol

8am Sunday came around and it’s time to say goodbye to Gert. We’ll see you in the next rotation!
